Introducing Rotary District 5630’s Pilot Program:

Virtual Youth Exchange

We are expanding our Youth Exchange Program to enable more of our District 5630 high school students to participate. Our Pilot Program will be a collaboration with Rotary District 3190, with more than 90 Rotary Clubs in Bangalore.

How does it work?

From January 8 through February 26, 2022 (8 weeks), 6 Nebraska and 6 Bangalore students will meet virtually on Saturdays (8:30 am in the U.S., 8:00 p.m. in India).

At each 90-minute session, they will discuss such topics as language, music, art, traditions, food, climate, school and daily life, sports, and entertainment.

At least three adults will attend each session, including a facilitator, moderator, and member of the Youth Exchange committee. The program will strictly abide by Rotary Internationals’ Youth Protection Guide (my.Rotary.org/youth-protection).

The session presenters will switch each session: District 3190 one week, and District 5630 the next week.

Our initial program will include high students ages 15 and 16.
